The value of the average U.S. home increased 13% in the 12 months ending in December, the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight said Wednesday. The typical home's value increased 2.9% in the fourth quarter of 2005 from the third quarter, an annualized rate of 11.4%. There was no evidence of a slowdown in price gains, OFHEO said. |
